Kanefabe Weekly: How to convince someone to watch wrestling

Some ideas on how to share the joy of watching pro wrestling, this week's MVP and big moment, and more.

Stand tall, wrestling fans.

I understand the skepticism with which you are occasionally confronted when you share that you watch and enjoy professional wrestling. Maybe it’s even something you hide from certain people in your life. I get that. And you might continue to get those side-eyes from folks, even if many of them will then turn and watch a real housewives show or the latest version of the Bachelor.

I’m not knocking those shows, by the way. I think it’s great if they provide an outlet for people, just like I think that’s one of the many great things about wrestling. I just hope we can all move towards seeing the value of those things.

Besides, does the Bachelor ever deliver a moment like this?

In today’s edition of Kanefabe Weekly:

  • How to sell interested parties that they should watch professional wrestling

  • This week’s MVP has been busy

  • The best moment of the week (spoiler, we aren’t done with that picture of Katsuyori Shibata)

  • Odds and ends from what happened and what’s coming up

I’m glad you’re here. On we go.
