The WWE Draft is up and rolling, while AEW kept the momentum going with some great matches. Let’s get to this week’s power rankings.

In this week’s power rankings:

  • The wise man is off the board

  • The world champions are busy

  • One of the best wrestlers in the world is back in action

That plus more of the best and most entertaining things in wrestling. On we go.

10. Paul Heyman’s draft stock

Just sneaking in the top 10 here for my personal record book this week, the idea that Paul Heyman’s value as a manager was part of the package for drafting the Bloodline just cracked me up.

9. Fighting champions

Friday night’s main event was Cody Rhodes versus Carmelo Hayes. Saturday night’s main event was Swerve Strickland versus Claudio Castignoli. Both matches felt like a big deal and delivered.

You can’t go too crazy with defending your world championships on free television, but for this weekend, it was a blast.
